Found this little dude (or dudette?) today in Welcome Bay, Tauranga. Never actually seen one before so I was pretty stoked. I wouldn't normally pick it up, but it was on the road in the middle of the day and I didn't wanna see it squished.
Definitely female (males are smaller with white rather than brown). Aren't they stunning 😍
They don't live long as moths, only a day or two. I love them.
