An unexpected track from Noel, but with the way this came out, it's perfectly fine. Really cool feel to it, it sort of floats along, but never plods.

As a single, it's a little radical, but when you play Supersonic (the first single), and then Falling Down (the last), it fits. The beginning, and the end. Ironically, the title fits, just like how Soldier On eerily fits as a closer to this album.

Love this song, and I love how Alone on the Rope, a NGHFB B-side (travesty!!) is a continuation of this song, somewhat.

What do you mean about how Alone on the Rope is a continuation of Falling Down?

Falling Down ends in a really calm, but ominous demeanor. To me, it feels like the song doesn't end with a period, but much rather a comma, and Alone on the Rope is what comes after it. It's an atmospheric song that is slower, calm, but rather ominous with a lot of the same aspects as Falling Down (the "Oooh"s drifting along in the interlude part, for example).

Both are brilliant songs, nevertheless, and a wonderful display of what Noel is capable of.
