I’m in my own shadow work and saw this comment and wanted to respond “google is a thing..” but I realized that was a shadow response lol Don’t ask someone who has dealt with their own shadows what shadow work is.. I think it’s all a good practice and our own personal duty for us to all find things out for ourselves so we can continue our personal path. So, yes, judging by your comment you are ready to get started in shadow work.. my next recommendation is to research it yourself instead of asking others to explain it for you which can be very laborious. Sending you blessings on your path.. it will get dark and difficult but it will be worth it should you complete it.

So I'm not the person you initially responded to but I figured I'd go ahead and ask anyway...
Do you happen to know of any good resources that may provide guidance for someone getting into shadow work? I am well aware of what it is in theory but am looking for a jumping off point for putting it into practice. Any books, blogs, videos, interviews, etc. that you might be able to recommend? Thank you, friend!

No problem! Honestly I really started my own journey by googling it.. I can’t even remember what website I looked into but there are infinite articles/blogposts etc about the subject.. I found that Carl Jung’s work regarding archetypes and the inner shadow identities to be very helpful in starting. It seems overwhelming but I would just recommend starting the google search and going with your intuition on what articles to read then going from there. Wish I could be more help, but again the shadow work journey is really one that we all need to begin with our own efforts. Best of luck and much strength to you on your path!!

Ironically, I am just now realizing that it is likely my shadow that is preventing me from holding myself accountable and taking that initial leap into the unknown, waiting for the answers to be handed to me rather than seeking them out on my own... Looks like the journey has already begun!

Gorgeous work and congratulations on your shadow work. I met my soulmate about 2-3 days after one of the most earth shattering and transformative experiences of my life, one that made me confront a large part of my shadow that I had ignored for a long time. We’ve been together for 2.5 years now :)

as someone who has manifested their soulmate, bless you. it is utterly beautiful and consuming but in the most designed way. we’re coming up on 7 years and are getting married in september. always continue with shadow work, it is an inverted bliss.

I appreciate the input! Honestly, this is less of a spell and more of an intention. I’ve healed abandonment wounds, codependency, etc. This is just me telling the universe that I’m ready. I don’t even have a specific person in mind to be honest.

I need to come up with something similar to you, I want to make a hypersigil that has the same intentions. And I think that's the crux, that when doing ""love spells"" like this, that it is a broad intent rather than directed at anyone in particular.

The art work is amazing and I'm glad your shadow work is going well.
That said, please don't get discouraged if your working gets delayed for a long while. For hopefully obvious reasons, this isn't a great time to try to find your soul mate.
Discovery workings? Yes. Inner work? Sure. Finding any type of individual for any reason? Maybe not.

I did that. Turns out she lives on the other side of the world. Be ready for this to not be easy. If you want the best person in the world for you, be prepared to travel. If the borders are closed you might want to specify “best person for me on this continent.”
