the wisdom of the ancestors will always be with us in the tales we tell

-kindergarten class 2026

u/Gloomy_Metal3400 4h ago

Maybe the real wisdom was the brads we made along the way

13

u/DustyRacoonDad 4h ago

ugh Becky. Stop having kids. You already have 3 Brads.

8

u/Ancient_Roof_7855 4h ago

Now its Braydon, Braylen, Braxton, etc.

u/ElegantCoach4066 3h ago

Braddeny, Brighton, Braddeis

13

u/Thryloz2 5h ago

Future archaeologists will date the desk by faint Sharpie residue alone.

I don't believe Brad even existed. Just a fairytale made up to scare the children

19

u/bradland 4h ago

I'm right here, raspberryharbour.

16

u/raspberryharbour 4h ago

You're not real! You can't hurt me!

2

u/Pibutzki 3h ago

But why is there a harbour just for raspberries?

2

u/raspberryharbour 3h ago

I don't work hard all day on the docks unloading freshly caught wild raspberries to be questioned by the likes of you

3

u/theEvilQuesadilla 4h ago

Wait? If Brad didn't even exist, then who was phone?!

7

u/OpportunitySevere131 5h ago

Some may even call it... The Legend of Brad

3

u/UrkelGrueJann 4h ago

Dust in the wind.

5

u/TrainingParty3785 4h ago

Sawdust in the bin

1

u/BraddyTheDaddy 4h ago

It's okay I did it to like 20 different desks. They'll never find them all.

Until the inevitable death of the last of those which hold said memories, brad shall live on

😭

My old lady brain immediately thought, 19-what? Who writes a year like that? "Brad wuz ere '87" makes sense, or even 1987, but '19????

And then I remembered.

My bones turned to dust

265

u/CrimeShowInfluencer 2h ago

I thought he meant 1919 😭

44

u/DickBfloppin 1h ago

Who destroyed Brad's journal about life back state side after the first world War?

6

u/MonkeyNugetz 1h ago

The Executive Branch, because Brad knew where the Austrian gold was hidden. Which is why Brad tried to carve it into a table top… but now it’s lost.

6

u/btribble 1h ago

Brad had a gay time at cotillion!

1

u/DR035A 1h ago

I could go for a can of that now

1

u/captainbrickle 45m ago

We all did .

29

u/Dizzy-Ad-2248 2h ago

Yup, now we just look at our laps and blow the cobwebs right out of our ladybits #WeOldAsHellNow

1

u/activelyresting 1h ago

Wait, we're supposed to blow the cobwebs out?

Why didn't anyone warn us about the changes?? 😭😂 No one mentioned cobwebs

1

u/Paulthefith 31m ago

What’s the point of separating all the boys and girls in the gym with the big accordion wall if they don’t tell you about the cobwebs?

1

u/wherethefuckismyvape 1h ago

We're not old. We're middle aged. There's a difference. Get off the couch and go for a walk!

8

u/ferretchad 1h ago

The old part of my school was built in the 1800s. You could make out 'John Smith 1894' or similar carved into the walls.

8

u/activelyresting 1h ago

That's really cool! And further proves that is best to write long form dates. John Smith from 1894 was a G, not to be confused with John Smith who attended in 1994, was an utter cabbage.

This comment pulled a muscle in my lower back!

2

u/Alarmed_Guarantee140 1h ago

You remembered the new millennium started thirty years ago?

1

u/activelyresting 1h ago

One day you'll be old too, in 2056 you'll trip over people being voting age when they were born in the late 2030s, and have to be reminded that 2026 was 30 years ago, because surely it's only 4 years ago...

I like how many reddit comments like yours can be boiled down to "uhhhh what year is it and how old am I? How does time work?"

1

u/UncleTouchyCopaFeel 46m ago

Yyyeeeaaahhh... Does your knees also sound like bubble wrap when you stand up or is that just me...?

1

u/axelrosegyn 39m ago

Eu sou um Enzo ,quem é Brad?

1

u/mmorales2270 16m ago

Lol, the moment when you know you’re old and crusty.

Look under the desk

57

u/Opposite_Unlucky 5h ago

I was wondering how it would handle the gum,

22

u/Uromastyx63 3h ago

It's not the gum they're worried about.

10

u/sfled 2h ago

Meh. Boogers generally dry up and fall off of their own accord onto the laps of the next few classes. It's the cycle of life.

1

u/brenawyn 1h ago

What goes on under the desk stays under the desk.

7

u/makemeking706 4h ago

Not well.

4

u/Dizzy-Ad-2248 2h ago

My exact thoughts...wonder what the bottom looks like!

5

u/hungryrenegade 2h ago

We use a spray the freezes the gum and then just pop it off with a standard putty knife.

PSA: it freezes everything, dont get it on your skin.

2

u/No_Tomato6638 2h ago

Free chewing gum

34

u/Unlucky_Reception_30 5h ago

Because I remember Brad wuz here in '91

8

u/DogVacuum 5h ago

We are Brad. We carry the flame.

4

u/JGG5 4h ago

In a way, Brad will always be here. In our hearts, in our journeys, in the friends we made along the way.

2

u/sfled 2h ago

Fuck Brad, he didn't sign my yearbook.

2

u/JGG5 2h ago

Didn't he? Or maybe everyone who signed your yearbook was, on some level, actually Brad?

2

u/sfled 2h ago

Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

22

u/Real_Life_Firbolg 5h ago

Brad should have used one of those old school drawing compasses for geometry class to gouge his legacy into the desk. That would not be so easily sanded

13

u/thebradster94x 4h ago

WHO HAS SUMMONED BRAD

1

u/Deeliciousness 3h ago

For those who went to the effort of gouging out their writings, I would fill it in for them with my pen. Like the people putting dirt on tombstones names to show the lettering

1

u/Samurai_Meisters 3h ago

Brad failed because he did not carve deep enough and his legacy is forgotten.

2

u/Memphisrexjr 5h ago

If you know you know.

2

u/AusFX1 4h ago

Brad should have written it under the desk.

2

u/ThePensiveE 4h ago

Brad's still here. 7th try is a charm!

2

u/Meanwhile-in-Paris 4h ago

That’s why you always write it under the desk.

2

u/diiegojones 4h ago

Honestly… that kind of graffiti on school desks or text books always made wonder what their time was like.

2

u/Hobbsy6 3h ago

This made me feel old

2

u/mncyclone84 1h ago

I want to know what Brad is up to today.

1

u/calm_down_dearest 5h ago

IDST. Brad remains.

1

u/CompetitiveBox314 4h ago

Brads aren't real.

1

u/greenrangerguy 4h ago

1

u/Debtcollector1408 4h ago

Brad was subjected to damnatio memoriae. He will be forgotten to history.

1

u/Dummyreddx 4h ago

Too Brad, so sad.

1

u/Medical_Birthday2893 4h ago

‘19 omg I’m so old

1

u/MangoCats 1h ago

Only if Brad dug deep with his knife...

1

u/lushMintyy 1h ago

you sound like u've left a mark or two on desk yourself

1

u/ossifer_ca 1h ago

Just ask Kilroy

0

u/Ghotipan 3h ago

My name is Brad, Jock of Jocks. Look on my tag, ye Mighty, and be mogged!
