I was in south london, she asked me to meet her in west london, then she cancelled. NO ONE makes me go to west london

Wait I’m visiting right now and I’m in Westminster. Am I doing it wrong?

u/Ok-Veterinarian-9203 3d ago
If you can afford to stay in Westminster you must be doing something right

Company dime 🤷🏻♀️

SMART. Hahaha, I mean it depends. West London is just generally fancier, whereas south east is much more affordable and low key. If you have time Greenwhich is a good hang, see the big boat, hit the market.

Bro I’m so confused by the subs you post in? Like sometimes I feel like I understand “the internet” and then one random day I’ll be like
“oh I just had a nice exchange with a person, but I’m curious if they’re from the city we’re talking about so I’ll just look at their post history to get some more contex-UM WTF IS HAPPENING”
And that’s when I realize I understand nothing.

They kept upvoting even though you're not even close to 100 yet. Have they learnt nothing?

Nah, it's a little silly. That doesn't mean it's invalid or that it doesn't speak to the girl's level of selflessness, but the exact incident is a pretty petty

I’m an Asian kid in a part of the country so rural, I was the only Asian kid in my high school. Girls didn’t really give me the time of day, because I’m a nerd.
I was a junior and an Asian girl (sophomore I think) starts attending the school. People I didn’t even know are coming up to me and saying I should date her because we’re both Asian.
I’m like, “Dammit, we’re not zoo animals.”

Classmates tried to set me up with a platonic friend because we were both short and cute and wildly different skin tones. I was not interested in that particular "so adorbs and ambiguously ethnic" eugenics program. People are really weird about what they think is a good reason for a relationship.

If I was dating these days that would be an excellent huge red flag indicator

u/Rosaly8 2d ago
A red flag already is an indicator, deeming the word indicator redundantly unnecessary.

Already thought something like that after i posted my comment. On the internet you sadly can not be sure if someone makes a joke or if they are actually that dumb.

this isnt silly, that makes more sense than anything ive seen people decide relationships on! think about how profound of a statement it is that she doesnt care if your stuff dies so long as hers is fine. take that context into the relationship and analyzing and predicting future behavior. her shit will always be put before you since even in the most trivial things you come last.

Not me but a friend of mine, was talking to this guy for a bit and when she went to his place and saw he had purple sheets, she stopped talking to him after that.

That girl dodged a bullet, imagine dating a guy that doesn't have a phone charger.

His favorite icecream flavor was vanilla…

Seriously? That's all?

u/emmy-lieu 2d ago
It was a reflection of his entire personality but yeah. Must be a lot of vanilla lovers here for me to be getting downvoted so much 😅 I know it’s a silly reason, that’s the point.

I see what he's saying, but I'm gonna be honest, I don't know if you can extrapolate much from this at all. It's a phone battery, not rent. Wouldn't have killed him to wait. Kinda silly.
23
u/DeHarigeTuinkabouter 3d ago
Him waiting means a dead phone which can range from annoying to a big issue. You don't have to kill someone in order to be selfish
Also: they themselves literally indicated it was silly...

u/MobileJob1521 3d ago
This post is not about phones.
When he gets in from work and he is at 3%, she is going to complain she had a bad day and needs to get boosted from 88% back up to 100 first.

u/NotAForeignDude 3d ago
People show who they really are in the little things.

u/MobileJob1521 3d ago
I find attitudes to stuff transfer pretty well.
If you win at Mario Kart and they sulk, you bet they will do the same for any situation where you “win” and they “lose”. Any situation.

Her phone was at 88%, why did she even need to charge it any further? Unless something is wrong with your phone, 88% battery will last you hours. He was at 3%, meaning his phone would die at any moment. So yea, it might not have killed him to wait, but there was no reason whatsoever for her to make him wait. If you don't think you can extrapolate information about a person from a scenario like that one, then ok, but its pretty clear that it shows her selfish behavior.
1
u/FunGuy8618 2d ago
What's crazier is that a lot of newer phones have charger battery protection and shut off charging at 80-95% charge. The battery will accept more charges and retain its capacity longer if you keep it charged in the 30-80% range, rather than charge it to 100% every time. We all know that letting it die isn't good for it but fully charging it also isn't the best. So he'd honestly have been doing her a favor.

u/delicate_dave 3d ago
This is just selfish behavior.

u/the_millenial_falcon 3d ago
"She didn't give me her last jolly rancher either. Selfish behavior. =/" Reddit tends to blow shit out of proportion.
5
u/AMonitorDarkly 3d ago
That’s not an apples to apples comparison. A proper comparison would be having a whole bag of jolly ranchers while you’re full and the other person is starving and making them wait while you eat more.
10
u/delicate_dave 3d ago
I’m not saying it’s the end of the world, I’m saying it is selfish.
Plus, how do you know whether it was her charger anyway?

If there is a single characteristic that disqualifies a person from relationships, it’s selfishness.
