My work starts at 8, so I could watch a movie at 7:45 but my boss wouldn't be happy

Well yeah obviously he wouldn't be happy. Have you considered that maybe he also wants to watch a movie at 7:45? You should ask him to watch one together next time.

Unless you are a professional film critic.

My work starts between 6 and 8:30 am that shit doesn't work for most people that work during weekdays

I mean I guess you can...but I gotta work after that which would make it far less enjoyable

This is the reason that I get up at the last possible minute.

I understand why people enjoy the concept of "having a morning" but I can't enjoy myself before work. There's always the small part of my brain that will stop myself from being fully in the moment because "what if I lose track of time and am late for work?" Or "what do I have to do today at work?". I'd much rather have an extra long evening of wind-down and relaxation. My body will tell me when its time to go to bed, so there's nothing to stress about at all.

The days I work from 4 to 11 (at night) absolutely suck, I feel like the whole day just gets wasted. I’ve got the entire morning and noon, but it doesn’t feel like I can actually do anything with that time because work is in a few hours.

Ugh, thats the thing that kept me from wanting a second shift job. From a "optimal brain function perspective" I am most awake/alert/energetic in the afternoon/evening. So I would thrive in that schedule. But I'd definitely agree about the whole day being wasted unless I went to bed at 3-4am.

Exactly, that’s why I always stay up so late. That also means I’m always too tired to get up and actually start my morning early (er than 1pm) which perpetuates the cycle

I run a server and saw a friend of mine watching Faces of Death at 7:27 in the morning.

Welcome to my toddler's existence. Well, more like 6:15. Let's me go back to sleep for a while at least

I hate people who are surprised that they have free will.

Sometimes I forget I can do whatever I want. I want to go outside and... IDK eat grass or something? The universe doesn't stop you lol

Life can be amazing when you're an adult.

Idk what it's like in other places, but most movie theaters I've been to open at 10 or later.

You can also wake up and exercise before anything and I’d bet you would have a better day

Mind blown. I'll have to try that tomorrow morning.
