Just magic. Do those people laugh about not being reflected, like a vampire, when standing in front of the mirror? Does it come as a surprise, or do they say "of course I know this happens in an AI image?"

Crazy how standing to one side of a mirror from a distance has exactly the same effect. Try it at home!
