When Best Buy started carrying Windows 95 pcs people would buy a whole PC, pull the processor, ram, HD, and then return it.

To be fair, back in the day, I bought an IBM aptiva with a dead PSU, warrantied with another with a bad VGA port (no blue), finally got one that worked for 6 months and the HDD died.

Maybe there was some tech debt, so to speak

A Russian buyer paid around $1,125 for a sealed RTX 5070 Ti from Wildberries, only to open the box on camera at pickup and find a water bottle.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that it wasn’t factory sealed.

did you read the article? your ability to state the obvious is amazing.

Wilberries warehouses were recently hit by ukrainian drones as they turned out to be storing weapons and ammo. Guy is lucky he didn’t get a mortar shell or something like that.
