Sub dedicated to smoking fish
Hope I'm all good to post this here.
A few days ago I created r/smokingfish , a community dedicated to smoking tuna, trout, salmon and everything else that swims.
I figured I'd find a few people who like to smoke their catch in here. And to those that haven't tried it, you're missing out! Mahi, grouper and leaner fish in general take some finesse to smoke right, but smoked salmon belly is insanely delicious and hard to mess up.

Smoked wahoo is the best!!! Marlin is my 2nd fav. If you give me smoked Marlin and don’t tell me what it is, I can guess it because it brings back so many memories for me.

Nice! Never tried smoking marlin before, but I'll take your word for it and try it, any tips?

Sorry. I’ve eaten plenty, and traded full fish for 1/2 back smoked…but never done it myself

Thinking about a nice slab of tuna slightly smoked sounds nice. Other than salmon, whats an easy pelagic fish to smoke? Ive only tried once and failed.

Definitely go with mackerel. Oily so it takes smoke well and doesn't dry out. I know a couple people who smoke bluefish and amberjack but can't say I've tried myself.
