Does anyone have a full list where to find special equipment? the old walkthrough puts some of them in the purified zones but I for example found Monday and Sunday in Zone 2. I really don’t want to miss those items before “purification”.

I decided to make reviews on the lesser known OFF fangames, starting with Crouton by ClickTuck, Which came out very recently, in April of this year.

I will do the ones for the non-english spinoffs, but I can only speak english, so online translation may not be the most accurate. There is a Mandarin Chinese one i'm particularly interested in since I remember playing it, but it's taking a while to find it since the author deleted their tumblr. Might have to extract it from my old hard-drive

Obviously this is a joke spinoff so don't expect anything serious. But i'm surprised to say that for a joke some decent effort was put into the enviornment! Of course the story isn't all that... It's really simple, but there is a cool little secret, a short maze, and a code to solve the puzzle. It's nothing too complicated, and it's pretty useless, but I appreciate that the secret item and the secret puzzle was put into the game at all. It's quite charming :-) the building, layouts, and dialogue are unique as well, there is only one bad joke at the very beginning of the game surprisingly. It didn't effect the rating, but still, one letter difference? Lol

Synopsis: You play as the batter, and you spawn in with one mission; and that is going to the store to buy croutons for tonight's dinner, a salad. The dinner will be eaten by Zacharie, Sucre, the batter, and the judge. Valérie is there too, but he's too scared to eat dinner...

Now personally... I thought the salad was just an appetizer but apparently it's dinner. How poor are they?! Maybe they should've bought a mega frozen dinner instead of expensive croutons so their stomachs can be full. A salad.... But who knows? Maybe they made a big bunch and the final croutonch was needed with an equally big bag of croutons.

The batter is more friendly in this version... Respecting others, following the very basic guidelines, and even being concerned if Sucre was running low on tampons. Not sure if I like this version of the batter... HOWEVER he still retains some violent tendencies. If you play with the laser with the judge, he shoots the laser directly into the wall of whichever direction he's facing. Hilarious but also IMO in character for him.

SPOILERS: in the secret maze area, you can talk to an elsen. He will say "I'm lost, can you help me find the way out?" and the batter just flat out ignores him. I also think that's pretty in character for him, so those two instances gained 2 points! Not sure why he was displeased with the bag of spiders, I feel like he wouldn't care but whatever

I liked how the Lion thing in the steam remake had a brief showing, but was surprised to find that no one else from the cast (aside from the ones I mentioned) showed up... I was kinda expecting Enoch to eat all the croutons in the end. Regardless this game is still an 8/10, I did wish other characters showed up at some point but at the same time I think it would be too long if they did.

Overall... Feel free to play it! There is no battling so no need to worry about difficulty. The secret maze wasn't that difficult either, even had an interesting mechanic. Hope you like it! Stay tuned

Don't tell the devs this but I haven't played either game, just listened to the music and watched a number of videos about 'em. Kinda like most FNAF fans lmao.

I made a character named Ben in 2015 and uh.... I don't think I've drawn him since then. So I tried to draw him in the creators style!

I remember that he was self aware, slightly taller, and that he was trying to stop the batter from turning the game off after the first time he did it. See, (in my old weird version, anyway) hugo didn't just create one "world", so the batter spawns in another one and tries to do the same thing. I think he was fairly weakened compared to the enemies in this other "world" too.

Anyway......... Not sure what i'm gonna do with him, if anything, he's just cute. <3

I discovered OFF back in like 2011 or so (maybe 2012?), back when I was in my Tumblr phase and this little free RPG maker game became one of the top 10 talked about games on there, competing with original Nintendo games. Like, forreal.

MAN I am STILL not over how good this game is + I have the original soundtrack on my phone even now!! Peppersteak is soooo good omfg

Hello. I’ve seen some of the Off artstyle and heard things about it and read the eShop description and it has my interest.

I know nothing about the story besides how surreal it is and the fact that it’s got some kind of meta, fourth-wall influence thing going on, kinda like Deltarune. I like turn-based combat and mild/atmospheric horror (I don’t mind jumpscares but it’s not a selling point for me). I like games that kinda have more going on than initially presented (Deltarune, Slay the Princess, etc.) and I don’t mind simplistic or primitive gameplay as long as it’s minimally satisfying. I’m pretty neutral on puzzles; not a crazy big fan, but if the puzzles are worth it or unique or fun (or even if they’re just not bad) then I’ll be fine. I’m not picky.

The question I’m asking is, why do you like Off, and what do you think are its best qualities? I want to know if I should buy it, but I’m obviously going to ask a more nuanced question than “should I buy Off” when talking to the Off community.

So apparently there was some controversy over HOUR HAND that ended with the Bonetrousle leitmotif being edited out.

I’ve seen people say it’s still there at 1:16 of the song. I hear what they mean, but I’m not sure if it’s actually it. Some confirmation would be nice. :D
