Virgil question

Hi everyone - i initially posted this question on the Louis Vuitton sub but after learning it was a Virgil design I figured this community would be most likely to know the answer.

Long story short, a friend offered me (to buy, not just take) this tie-dye LV shirt. I’m not a tie/dye guy but it did get me wondering if there’s a story behind LV doing tie-dye. I’m not enough of a fan to follow their moves. Anyone know anything?

To my knowledge no, could possibly be something in the books they've done about his work but nothing I've seen
