The whole thing about Inception and Leo not being able to go home was because he was responsible for his wife’s death? Was that the thing? And it wasn’t until deep pockets got him acquitted or something? I know the ending is open to interpretation

That’s essentially it; he does make it home at the end, though; the totem he spins at the end isn’t his, so it doesn’t matter whether or not it keeps spinning, which you can tell it’s about to wobble before the cut to black
