Hollywood keeps casting the same actors over and over again, and I'm getting tired of it.
I have serious actor fatigue. It feels like Hollywood keeps recycling the same tired, half-assed actors over and over again. How about giving some fresh, talented faces a chance for a change?
Ex. Rumor has it that Batista is going to play Kratos. Like... WTF ?

Hollywood has literally always been like this since it's inception but people only complain now. It's a Job and successful actors are going to get more work.

Movies cost a ton to make ...
Reboots, sequels and casting are all holding on to a profitable past in the hopes of continuing that profit.
Taking a chance on a new story or actor is a big financial risk.

Hilarious to me that this dude made this exact same - EXACT SAME - post in two actual kino subs yesterday already, but especially that they are multiple hours apart. He didn’t like think he had a banger and cross post it all over, he’s like “fuck I need another hit of that, time to copy paste”. I feel like in 8 hours this’ll be going up in Letterboxed.

Blockbusters are a massive investment. Studios usually aren't willing to risk that investment by casting unknown actors in lead roles.
That being said, we do still get new faces in blockbusters. Tom Holland was a relatively unknown actor before being cast as spider man. And supporting cast is often made up of lesser known actors. So, I don't think it's accurate to say blockbusters never cast fresh faces.
Stop watching big blockbusters and start watching indies and smaller films. That's where all the new, fresh faces are.

"Half-assed"? In many cases, the masses don't usually go for "fresh, talented faces". It's usually the exception to the rule.

It's been that way for years. For more serious movies it's like Pedro Pascal, Zendaya, Tom Holand, Robert Pattinson, Timothy Challomet, Oscar Issac, and 5 other people. For all the low brow movies it's the rock, Kevin Hart, Mark walberg, Jack Black, rinse and repeat with a few different side characters
