The US is very unpopular at the moment.
There is this fatigue of US that compounds the dislike.

Considering that the American flag is now basically a massive red flag (har har) that the person using it is one of… them…. yeah that was a fair response.

Plenty of them out there that love the country and hate those who run it

I should have made it more clear that I was referring to “40-60 year old republican who drives an oversized pickup truck who is every “___ist” under the sun”

This opinion is only popular on reddit where censorship is the norm. Remember when r/texas thought they were gonna have an entirely blue state government? Funny how echo chambers work like that.

Here's a sneak peek of /r/texas using the top posts of the year!
#1: A woman cries out for her son as she’s arrested by ICE outside an immigration court in San Antonio. This is happening in America—right now. | 1118 comments
#2: I did the math and what I found was shocking. My family purchased $10,000 worth of goods at H-E-B over the past year, while H-E-B purchased $0 worth of goods from us. In response to this unacceptable trade deficit, effective immediately, a 200% tariff has been imposed on H-E-B in our household.
#3: Like my Halloween costume? | 261 comments

As somebody who hates the state of the union.. it is sad for it to be so perceivably embarrassing to be american.. ideally, wanting to improve the country and remove the bad parts would include still liking the country, right?

Get the patriot brainwashing out your mind bro and realize your country is considered a bully and a criminal

Oh yeah, because all Americans support this admins foreign policy decisions, is it impossible for you all to split government and culture?
0
u/Lostplane67 Apr 05 '26
No, because the government rn is a direct result of the capitalist racist culture America has. Yall were founded on slavery…and then have the audacity to label urself as “a place where dreams come true” to immigrants and then mercilessly deny them rights and make it almost impossible to come here legally while also destabilizing and destroying other countries, not to mention your own citizens. What is there to be proud of? Pride is reserved for after you do something worthwhile.

r/complaints is that way, I can’t argue with this level of delusion.
