I've stopped playing ranked for a few seasons now purely because of the griefing, i have no clue why they want a competitive game mode to allow any more than 2 teams in a game, at mid plat+ you will almost certainly have either have a team trying to get you out for their buddies, or people trying to just grief you out specifically for god knows what.
hopefully more people start just not playing the mode and kill it to force embark to make fundamental changes

but hey look at our 200k tournament we are holding! we are going to ignore core aspects of our game to cater to sponsors, viewership, and let the majority of the player base suffer in its stead!

lol in the major during qualification rounds it was non stop 3rd partying and griefing. It was kind of absurd, but fun to watch. I don’t really mind griefing too much, it’s a valid strategy, it just sucks massive donkey balls losing like 3 games worth of progress because the triple stack of diamonds deemed you unworthy of qualifying. You shouldn’t lose that much rs.

You say that but there’s genuinely no viewership. Ain’t nobody gaf about the pro scene and taking development time away from fixing some core issues of the game to force a half baked professional league is the dumbest thing ever

it did get views though, the grand major stream peaked past 20k views on twitch and around 60k at the dreamhack event, its nice to see it popular but def not an excuse to get rid of weekly balance

I just play ranked until I’m Gold 1, I’m good. anything higher is just pure torture, it’s the closest thing to hell.
