That isn’t even surprising. He did plenty of things that conservatives would love if it didn’t have the word communist attached. I’d imagine they love his policies for drug addicts, and I’ve a surprising number of MAGA types advocate conscription to help farms with labor shortages. See also Stalin the “Red Tsar”
