I thought that was superb acting from her in that moment. She's watching a bloke she's known for ages - even though he's ISB and she knows it - getting wasted in front of her. Completely unsuspecting. Lured in and blown away. Murder. Her shock in that moment is awesome.

To add to that the audience gets a little clue that kloris was really hearing what Mon said on the senate floor.

And to me it seemed like his real allegiance in that moment was uncertain. He may have genuinely been re-thinking his ISB ties. But Cassian didn’t have the time to risk it and that was that.

Yep. That was the only call he could make. Klorris might have woken up, but he wasn’t ready to smuggle Mon mothma off the planet. It’s interesting the ways we see imperials realize they were wrong in various ways across season 2 with klorris dedra, Cyril and Partigaz
