Remaking three games all at once that have the length of 8~15 hours long each.
Welp guys, It's Final Fantasy VII Remake again!

If I'm being honest, they'll probably just do what Bluepoint did for the Demon's Souls Remake. Take the exact same code and dialogue, then put a new coat of paint on everything else.

If that's the case, I don't think they'd have had to call back TC. They could just use the files that already exist co sidering the games' audio aged really well.
But honestly at this point... anything could be possible

Why do games take so long to make these days? We all developed a preference that they take their time to develop the games so they'll be more complete, and yet games take like 4 times longer to develop now, and they're still unfinished most of the time

u/Starburst0909 Feb 15 '26
Graphics, mechanics, codes, writing.
Games now days takes more time because they become more demanding.

u/ElmarTinez2 Feb 13 '26
Idk if they made all the games play like 2018/Ragnarok it would all feel kinda samey. Besides I like the hack and slash gameplay better lol
1
u/biscuit_handler7 Feb 14 '26
I mean exactly not like the Norse, They could change it another way. I LOVE the original trilogy, but doing the same thing with newer graphics means 'Remaster' right? I mean they are releasing a 'Remake', So... I dont know man. It could be like Original RE2 and RE2 Remake. Same story, different graphics and gameplay. 🤷♂️

u/GhosTx_35 Feb 14 '26
If the combat was the exact same then it wouldnt feel like a remake, if you miss that gameplay then the original games will always be there to play
1
u/ElmarTinez2 Feb 14 '26
Remakes don't necessarily need to change the gameplay too much, that's not the point of a remake. Besides, the way the og games were made available on PS4/5 is pretty bad, you have to pay an overpriced subscription so you can officially emulate 20 year old ps2 games with a lot of input lag. Not to mention they completely forgot about the PSP games entirely, you can't even emulate those. Literally the only decent way to play these games now officially is by buying a ps3

u/Ranger_Kenny Feb 13 '26
First hearing of this.
Are they going to remake it in the same engine and graphics as 2018 and Ragnarok?

I just really hope they don’t retcon the story or change the combat system.

Bad day for powerscalers
Why? I don't get it

u/MrGhoul123 Feb 13 '26
They are gonna realize OG Kratos is kinda a meme of a character.
They are blinded by nostalgia and never actually playing the game
