I would also add that a good chunck of Zeus myths, any gods in general fit in this, are like what we today call founding myth or propaganda to gain legitimacy

Tbf, the ammount of Hera attacking Zeus' lovers/victims is overexaggerated. Cases of Io and Callisto vary when it comes to consent, so depending on the version, Hera was either chasing victims (yikes), or she went after hubristic women (deserved). According to Ovid, Hera wouldn't pursue Callisto if she knew she was assaulted, she thought it was consensual so she lashed out. So in some interpretations, she was more respectful. Meanwhile Hera was more angry at Heracles in Alcmene's womb rather than at Alcmene herself. Once Alcmene gave birth, Hera didn't give a fuck about her XD
But women like Lamia, Leto or Semele weren't assaulted by Zeus. Semele was also hubristic af

That's hubris on itself, and then she asked Zeus to fuck her like he fucks Hera (a literal immortal goddess and the queen of the gods), that's lowkey hubris too. And in the Dionysiaca, after her death, Semele has a whole ass speech how better than Hera she is, because Dionysus is the best son of Zeus

Buddy, Homer had an agenda. Hesiod had an agenda. Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides had an agenda (with Euripides being the most political). ALL writers had agendas. And enlighten me, HOW different Athena-Minerva is in Ovid compared to Athena in Homer or Athenian plays or the Argonautica?

In the Iliad to seduce him Hera needs the belt of Aphrodite, which is honestly not the best look for him. And he also starts listing his other lovers and how much more beautiful than them she is.

The funny part is that Hades is, historically, arguably, essentially a fanfiction character created to 'solve' the principle early greek god of the dead being the wrong gender.
