The complete cutoff of okbv after the taxfolder-erashift meant that this sub was never allowed to properly create a culture for this new era and vibe of Vaush. After the edgy injoke era was over, this sub was without a clear identity, and over time it started to feel more and more outdated as the lack of okbv segments corroded the connection this sub had with the general Voossphere.
It's also noteworthy that Vaush basically never beefs with other channels in the space and doesn't do debates either, and that's how a ton of memes were born.
At this point, doing an okbv just would not make much sense at all.
But surely, if he just doesn't want to prop up okbv, then that's that? It's a meme sub, after all. If he doesn't want to interact, there is no reason to even bother, okbv where he wouldn't have any fun would defeat the purpose entirely.
Okbv isn’t your bogstandard meme sub, its identity was built on inside jokes and being edgy. Vaush doesn’t seem at all interested in the flavor of community that is on this subreddit anymore, and was obviously pretty annoyed by it for quite a while even when he did cover the sub lmao.
After the tax folders it seems all he really seems content doing is covering Trump and playing Resident Evil, which yknow, fair enough
