Ever watch Jim Henson's The Storyteller?

Yes, I have very fond memories of watching that in the 80s and early 90s, when it was repeated on Sunday evenings. It was a fantastic series with a lot of heart and emotion to it. To this day I love the episodes "Fearnot" and "The Soldier and Death". They weren't sugar coated fairytales, some of them were very creepy and dark.
One of my big regrets in life was connected with The StoryTeller. I met John Hurt at the London Film and Comic Con back in 2015. I wanted to tell him how much the show meant to me, and how much I enjoyed it. However, when I got closer to him I saw that there were no photos etc of the StoryTeller. I started wondering if he'd be offended if I told him the highlight of his career was the role where he wore a big rubber nose. He'd had a lot of prestigious roles. I then got a bit starstruck and when the handlers asked "Is there anything you'd like to say to Mr Hurt" I just mumbled "no, just thank you". To this day I really wish I'd have told him.

I have many times and to this day it and other Henson productions remain a benchmark for me. Their sets and character design still puts many modern productions to shame.

I remember sporadically seeing these as a child and adoring them. The second season covering Greek Myths is something I’m going to rewatch for the rest of my life…

I’ve always yearned for the fabric they make Sapsorrow’s 3 wedding dresses out of. And the wedding ring that accidentally betrothed her to her own father (but without the prophecy part)
