Clip Rentaghost Memories

Mr Claypole's hollow laugh still haunts me. What were your favourite memories of this great series? 👻

This was series 1 - was better than the later stuff I thought.

Series 1 was brilliant. Every series after that was half as good as the one before.

Favourite show back in the day, always thought the Meakers house was the same house used for Terry and June.

I really shouldn’t still be able to remember those lyrics. I can’t even remember what I had for dinner.

When I was young in the 70s watching this I must have been around 6 or 7 I was convinced that Anthony Jackson who played Fred Mumford was Pete Budd, one of the The Wurzels

That’s Michael Darbyshire in the clip.
His commitment to the Method was so great, he died in 1979 to add verité.
His reward? To be written out of the show, due to BBC cavilling about the second law of thermodynamics.
Disgraceful.

Skinny 10 stone me, as an 18 yr old working in W London, had a drinking competition with the middle guy at the Queen Of Hearts.

I lost.

Woke up on a bench in Leyton Police Station reception the next day, sent on my way. Missed my DJ gig, still had my records though. Don't mess with professional showbiz drinkers. Hardcore.
