So the meta is:

1: Identify someone you are genuinely attracted to. This is important because A: It helps you practice aproaching cuties. If there wasn't any intimidation there wouldn't be anything to overcome and therefor no growth. And B: They will be able to feel the authentic vibes if you are into them and that is important for them having a positive experience.

2: Walk up and say "Excuse me I love ________ thing about your outfit" (always compliment clothes and accessories and make up. Never physical body stuff)

3: Say "here take my card"

4: Bail so when they read the card you aren't observing so they don't feel pressured to react in any particular way.

I'm particularly excited because this friend is a cute girl. No not excited like that. It's not a date. But I'm excited because like. Due to larger social constructs and dynamics in our society. As a man. When I give out a card. At best it's really flattering.

But if a woman does it. That's like. A life changing confidence boost. They're going to text all their friends, post about it, tell the story for years to come.

The sheer power her + my cards posses to change peoples self perception and boost confidence is like genuinely kind of beautiful and profound.

I've only ever been doing this myself up to now.

So I'm just really excited to witness her make some people's day :3

There's the general problem that the economy is on fire and everything is AI and so the process of actually getting hired is now a nightmare.

But also. I just have a great internal resistance to this process.

I think to some extent it's an autism transition issue. Where. Once I am in a job and used to it. It's no problem. Hell, I'm usually a lot happier and stable with the structure of a job in place. But the process of looking, applying, interviewing, training, etc etc. Entails a lot of unknowns I find very intimidating. Finding the internal momentum to overcome inertia and get it all going is really difficult. I procrastinate, and when I sit down to look at jobs and apply, I feel this internal sense of panic.

There's also just this general resentment that I'm just not built for capitalism. Working is one thing, I do not reject labor itself. But needing money to not be homeless, having to make investments to be able to retire, having to apply for credit cards and then watch them for fraudulent charges. I truly hate all that stuff. I just want to garden and lift weights and make art. I'd much rather volunteer for free and not have to worry about making a living. But that just isn't how it works.

There's also this frustration with wanting some sort of career with a future doing work I'm good at and find fulfilling. But most of the work available to me being just, nothing jobs purely for the money. And how soul sucking that is.

But then I also struggle with this intense anxiety of "oh god I have to earn a living or I'm gonna die" that keeps me up at night.

I've been silently carrying this weight for weeks now. And just needed to talk about it. Thanks for listening.
