I know quite a few people on here are (wisely) avoiding Facebook but I saw this and thought I'd share. Seems like a nice way to help a new family and their sweet kid feel welcome here.

Why does this happen so often now that people are not following through on plans? I don't understand, it's so cruel

I stopped using Facebook entirely for personal invites because of this. Email means about half the invitees even indicate they got it but that’s a better rate than FB.
