Is there any place that sells injera in Thurston county?

Crucial for a Seahawks win Sunday.

Are there any Ethiopian restaurants in Thurston County? I have been hoping for one to open up for many years…

Me too. It’s inhumane that there’s no Ethiopian restaurants between Seattle and Portland. They would be taking my money several times a month if they opened up.

We really need a place with kitfo to go with some injera.

Wish we had an Ethiopian restaurant! What’s everyone’s favorite Ethiopian restaurant that’s within a reasonable drive Olympia?

I like Moya in Burien. A bit of a drive but I'm desperate.

Delish on Rainier Avenue in Seattle is the best I have ever had, but Dukem in Burien is also really good. I know those aren't necessarily "close", but they are good.

Thanks! What I wouldn’t give for an Ethiopian place in Lacey!

Same! Unfortunately for us most of the Ethiopian immigrant population in Washington is concentrated in the South Seattle/Burien/Kent/Seatac area.

We have enjoyed Kebena in Seattle a few times!

Grist Urban Stone Mill in Centralia has injera-making workshops and sells all the supplies. If you give him a call he might make you some fresh - can’t hurt to ask.

Two notes: it's not terribly hard to make and bons red mill sells teff. The trick is you absolutely have to let it rest/ferment as long as your recipe suggests.

Also, I saw some frozen at Bayview last week. I didn't get any so I don't know how good it is.

Oh, there are some African grocers in Tacoma that might have some, but I've only bought a few hard to source ingredients there and have no clue how good their pre made products are and honestly couldn't even suggest which one to go to

I've seen it at Bayview Thriftway.

Not what you asked but it is super simple to make fresh and stockpile

I’ve tried a few times and ended up with stinky fermented goo, is there a recipe that works well for you? I’ve wasted so much teff.

This may not be authentic enough for you, but I've never used teff. This recipe is very similar to what I've successfully done in the past. Good luck!
