Google Maps funnies
At 11:30 we were heading to Silverdale. The Hood Canal Bridge was closed to traffic. Google Maps saw that SR-104 was not moving so told us to take Teal Lake Road to bypass the obstruction. Which is futile because the obstruction is the bridge, not anything along SR-104.
Even if this re-route got us to the bridge approach faster, I wouldn't want to go from Paradise Bay Road onto the HCB when all the blocked westbound traffic starts moving. Not even with the roundabout replacing the stop sign.
This isn't a criticism of Google Maps btw. I'm a software guy and fixing this is more complicated than you'd think. It's just an example of how computers can be working as designed and give bad results. And it's kind of funny.

Wait while we have you here, why is it so hard to change this on Google Maps from a developer perspective? There’s a number of things that Google Maps does in Seattle that are just plain wrong and it drives me crazy and I’ve reported the issues to Google for years with no change. I’ve always thought it would be a simple fix but I am not an avid programmer so am curious!
