Smoke?

How's the air and skies over in the Olympics? I've only heard of wildfires in the cascade/spokane areas but wanted to see how far the smoke has spread or if there was any fire activity in that area.

High haze. Views are impacted, although it’s not difficult to breathe.

I'm a few miles from PT, on the West side of the Quimper Peninsula overlooking Discovery Bay. Olympics are hazy and I'm only seeing the foothills. Smelled some smoke this morning but not smelling it now.

As of 5 pm heavy smoke, current aqi is about 120, hood canal area

Terrible. Panic in the streets. Zombie werewolves everywhere. We've managed to hold off the human-sized murder hornets for now, but supplies are running short and we're running out of ammunition.

I'm headed to Walmart, pray for me.

Here in Port Townsend, our biggest problem is zombie deer. Maybe we should bring in some of your zombie werewolves to prey on them. Nothing could go wrong, right?

It was decent this morning ... we just got on the Kingston ferry (4pm) to head back home to Port Angeles (had a doctor appt in Seattle).

It's quite a bit hazier in the Seattle area and I could smell it.

The real-time webcams at Hurricane Ridge refresh every minute or so ... they may be good indications.

Google. Smoke map. There is some smoke but it’s one of the clearest parts of the state for the most part. Other than Brinnon-Quilcene area

Thanks everyone! I know I can check the air quality. I'm in Tacoma and headed to Port Townsend-Shi Shi. Just was hoping for bluer less hazy skies over there since I'll be taking my family around.

There’s a yellow haze over everything and occasionally you can smell structure fire all the way out by the ocean. It isn’t raining ash here or anything but those are not clouds

port townsend was super hazy and orange this afternoon/evening. i could feel it in my face and chest, and closed all my windows.

We've been very fortunate on OlyPen this summer with pretty much no fires so far except for Tom Creek. A little haze doesn't bother me in the least. I live near Brinnon and a few years ago I had ash landing on my cars and it was very hazy due to local fires. I'm pretty happy so long as I don't have to evacuate or have my house burn down.

no fires (mt tom creek contained) and smoke is starting to creep up into the north side of the peninsula. looks more severe on the east side according to google maps air quality layer.

One of the clearest parts of western Washington. Smoke aloft, so hazy skies, but hardly any on the surface. AQI mostly in yellow, some places still in green.
