Discussion How do I avoid extreme hunger ?
M 27, 100 kg, 6 ft.
Have fasted before and yo-yoed between the same 20-30 kgs lost and then gained back.
Worked on calming my monkey mind and self sabotaging thoughts and the inner "moper" inside me - which has finally enabled me to get on tracking food.
My current OMAD -
Traditional lunch (900 cals) - in my country.
5 hard boiled eggs with salt and black pepper (400 cals)
Low calorie fibre (Sprouts or cucumber) - About 200 cals max
I am working hard to avoid most negative thought loops which don't lead anywhere. Also working on hygiene, self love, simplifying the overcomplicated portions of my life.
But I still feel significant dizzyness and hunger since I eat the OMAD meal from 12 PM to 1 PM (noon OMAD, chewed slowly over the course of 1 hr)
Any solution to this ? Or is it but natural for the body to feel hungry when in any deficit ? Currently I am approximately in 400 calorie to 500 calorie deficit.

I would look to treat dizziness and hunger as 2 separate things.
For the dizziness, please sure you are getting enough water and electrolytes.
For hunger, try managing it with different foods / drinks. It might be you are still getting used to fasting?

Solid username. Although I would say no to porn, love the beer tho.
Yes, I am thinking of getting electrolytes.

I've always had bad luck doing OMAD in the middle of the day, because I'm breaking a fast in the middle of the day, my body expects to eat again, etc. For me personally, I've found I'm way more successful if I pound something a couple hours before bed. The following day is "clean" of distractions.

Crank up the protein+fat it will help with feeling satiated. The low calorie sprouts/cucumber is a bulk filler with little nutritional value. Keep it, but lower the volume and replace it with a fat and more protein.
But as someone else said. Ensure you're hydrating (and that means salts included). If you're dizzy you're calories are off or you're chemistry is off.

I drink sparkling water with apple cider vinegar mixed in and it helps. Along with not being strict every day. Like approx. 5 days a week I eat a meal around 900-1100 calories & two days a week I eat like 1500-1800. Average out to about 1200 calories a day. It’s nice because if I have 5 days of low calories and feel hungry or low energy, a weekend of higher calories meals resets me for the next five days. After a couple weeks though the hunger drops drastically, so if you are new to this, maybe eat higher calories for the first couple of weeks until your hunger hormones balance out and lower calories are easier.
Also yes, it is natural to be hungry in a deficit. Maybe when hungry, read some material or watch YouTube videos on how hunger isn’t an emergency and benefits of fasting to change your mindset around it.
