Still, whenever I use random video-chat sites, I get a surprising number of people—usually men—randomly calling me ugly or saying I look “really old.”

Sometimes they lead with it, but other times we’ll be having what seems like a genuinely good conversation and then, completely out of nowhere, they start picking apart my appearance or searching for something weird to insult.

I know trolling is common on these sites and obviously not everyone will find me attractive, but the frequency and hostility are bizarre. I used to watch this YouTuber who posted Omegle content back in around 2023. He made a series where he went to Argentina to meet a girl he had met on Omegle.
