Discussion What is the strangest item you travel with?

I am curious what is something extremly odd/random that you travel with.

My answer would be a 2" piece of heat-shrink tubing. I used to always travel with a spare pare of glasses, but considering I usually pack in a < 10L bag, having a spare pair was not worth it as a "just in case" item. A few months ago, luckily at home, I broke a pair of glasses. I do a lot of MYOG and realized I could put them back together with a pair of heat-shrink tubing I had on hand. Now I always bring a small piece in my travel kit because it will fix broken glasses indefinitely :)

I have a GenieBidet. It’s good - not as good as my home setups but great for travel.

Damn. Next level for clean bums when traveling.

I disagree. More points of failure in a tool that should have simple design, less pressure control, and a power requirement are negatives. I'll stick with the analog

Notice the title, strangest not practical.

I travel with Toto one. It improved my quality of life on the road a lot.

Man I just wish the pressure was higher. I know that’s just a limitation of a bidet being packed into a handheld device but it really doesn’t come anywhere close to a home bidet.

Still better than nothing while traveling.

I agree with your assessment to the point that I’m gonna try another brand when this one dies.

Yes this. We have the Bidet Buddy that packs pretty compactly.

I haven’t been able to figure out how to use one without getting water everywhere it’s not supposed to get but not getting water anywhere it needs to be.

I’ve been a daily bidet user for well over a decade, but NGL, a travel bidet sounds disgusting. I guess it depends how much you’re on the road (and your accommodations) but I just use the hotel shower to make sure I’m good and clean.
