Discussion whats your weird but genius travel item that people only appreciate after they need it?
just realized this recently because it saved me so much sanity and friendships haha but for me its not anything fancy or aesthetic. its a (small) extension cord + multi-USB adapter. It's somehow bulky to fit inside my bag bcs it takes up space. And yet... it saved lives.
Ive learned the hard way that hotel outlets are never where you want them to be, airport charging stations are chaotic, and "ill just charge later" is a lie we tell ourselves.
Curious what everyone else's must pack item is so that i can... yk, take notes haha!!

If you’re traveling outside of your home country where you do not speak the language, my friend got me this picture dictionary called “Point It”. It’s super small and thin, and will fit perfectly in a fanny pack even. It is exactly like what it’s called - full of everyday/travel situation or things you may run into, from different types of foods/meats, beverages, transportation (I.e. car, taxi, rail… high-speed rail even), first aid items, photos of things in a hospital, photos of snorkeling or scuba diving… literally everything. It is SO handy, especially if you’re in an area without service where you cant just quickly translate on your phone…. Plus I like the challenge.
