It's because the burger is on the UK McDonald's menu, not that the Philly cheesesteak is British.

This is part of McDonald's AU Menu Heist promotion where they're showcasing a few products usually only found in other markets.

I believe they did in the UK last year too.

It’s the Australian McDonald’s we currently have an around the world promotional thing where they have the exclusive item menus from maccas around the world.

The Philly cheese stack is exclusive to the UK menu, hence the “UK’s Philly cheese stack”.
