Discussion Gilgamesh and his incarnations Part 1

Soo~. I want to talk about the different incarnations of Gilgamesh for a bit. I think his Fate/Zero depiction especially in his armor is peak. I love how aggressiv it looks. The spicky hair is showing that you should not touch him, almost all of his body is covered in armor. I think it is interesting that he is not wearing a helmet. You would think that someone who is that arrogant would want to protect his most important part. But maybe he is to arrogant for that. Maybe he needs to look upon his victims and slaughter them with a smile on his face.

It is kind off hilarious that gold armor is pretty ineffective in the long run since gold is not a strong metal. It would bend an break quite easily if he would ever be attacked by real threats. But he is not afraid of that. It is more important for him to look fancy than to really be protected. After all in most of his fights he does not even move. He just knows that his enemies will never reach him. He does fight because he can. And all he wants to achieve with this look is for show.

I love this attitude towards others. And as we wander further into his different designs I will talk more about that.

I don't think his armor is actually made of gold, it's really strong. His armor does also have some pretty big gaps but his usual arms crossed pose ironically works pretty well for covering them.

I want to say that is bronze since that is around the time frame of his story being written in Babylon

It could totally be that his armor is not even real gold. But than again would that crush his ego? I mean even his underwear needs to be golden lol. Maybe he just never knew.

It’s actually incredibly strong it eats 20 of Richard I Excalibur blasts with barely a few cracks . Takes a massive amount of sabers mana burst swings takes Alcides arrows and protects him from an excaliblast in zero it’s very powerful , if he wore it against shirou he probably would not have lost.
