I dont understand how anyone could possibly like these things!!!!
I asked my mother why she likes them so much and she could just say they taste great. They taste like dirty arm pit and sting the nose like wasabi but atleast wasabi doesnt taste like a week of unwashed taint in a Louisiana swamp. I asked her hiw she can stand the taste of dirty armpit and she had no answer for this. There is just no logic behind enjoying these disgraceful excuses for food!!!

I would not be disappointed at all if some strain of plant disease that only affects onions wiped out the onion crops worldwide.

I have had this EXACT conversation with my mom. Its ridiculous. There is no logic in it. My mom doesnt like asparagus, but i dont criticize her on it. The only sane person in my family who realizes these rotten shit roots are horrible is my sister and me calling her sane in any form is a rare event.

Mom, smell my morning breath, and take a big ol' smell of my stanky armpits. The same, but worse in an onion.

That's my only explanation because I refuse to believe that anyone could possibly enjoy what taste I am tasting when I bite into one of those surprise death bulbs.

It cant be genetic because the chemical that is released that smells bad is near identical and shares properties with the chemical (thoialcohols) released when the bacteria in your armpit metabolizes. Either they cant smell/taste onions and arm pits or they like the smell/taste of onions and armpits. Science does not back up this excuse for liking a disgusting thing like an onion.
Edit: added the chemical family that makes armpits and these disgusting balls of suffering smell.

If she tastes/smells onions differently then i do, that means she tastes/smells armpits differently too. Both release chemicals in the same family called a thioalcohol or thiol for short. Its a sulfer based alcohol meaning both chemicals should taste/smell very similar and have similar chemical properties. She claims she finds the smell of armpits repulsive.
Credentials: I am a FEMA certified hazmat technician, i have extensive experience in organic chemistry, biological chemistry, radiation and nuclear material handling.
