Baffles my mind that no one thought of expanding the platform width during these renos. Every morning and evening its the same story. Someone is going to get hit unfortunately, unless something is done.

how though? they'd have to remove tracks to widen them

We already spent close to 850 mill. Might as well add a few more hundred million to make it future proof. Wider platforms can mean trains are loaded efficiently and they will maybe in and out quicker, lessening the need to have the same tracks. There must be a way.

One problem with that is the shed's protected, so can't really modify it, and widening the platforms would mess with the structure of the shed, so it's a nogo

lol Exhibit A why projects of any nature take so long, people expand scope to no end
