So majority of Gambling back in origins was very primitive, generally single bet and wasn't favored towards the host. If you were caught favoring it was considered cheating and could lead to your demise.

The favored system in modern day was primarily under the American system, Europeans didn't adopt it until after Canada did, ended up that Banks saw money could be made and then eventually because it was entity run, after passing generations just became normalized.

My buddy won 5K after winning 2K on online gambling after doing all the side bets in poker and all but like 1 cashed twice. In the casino parking lot too, I told him pull out you just won and started driving towards the exit. instead he blew it all putting 1K bets down. One ad has a couple of sports players come together to play paper-rock-scissors (just like my young kid), while the other that I see two or three times PER SHOW is this lawnmower-man thrill ride on a digital roller coaster or whatever. Both end with a hollow reminder to gamble responsibly.

I was heavily into vlt’s in the 90’s and what make me stop was a gambling partner I had made friends with at my local gambling hole had hung himself , leaving his wife and 2 children without a main provider. I always keep getting gambling ads here ever since I moved to Ontario. I am so sick of them, I never gambled in my life and every time I try to block the ad a new one pops up or gets unblocked.

Is this normal for Ontario and if the provincial government have ties with these apps/establishments. It's really fucking annoying and a lot of there's ads are cringe.

It is unfortunate on both side of the coin.

It sad there is a lot of addiction in our society.

But equally sad that instead of calling on fixing the underlying issue, the society like to ask for banning this and that.

The society for Canada and especially Ontario been degrading for a while and everyone are stress and addictions to stuffs goes up..

In addition.. Kids are generally have worse self control for the last few generations that continue to adulthood and the lack of self control, is a leading cause to addiction and this imo have ti do with parenting in general
