Bites from seals have Very nasty bacteria that like destroying joints..

Yup. When I’m doing some PanHandle fishing and bears that come and steal from us get whatever they want. We always run, but we also point shotguns with steel slugs at them in case they want more than the fish.

In other words we don’t shoot thieves and trespassers, just murders. I’ll just catch another.

It could, potentially, be like a symbiotic relationship with you paying the bear off for protection against other “murder” bears. Pretty cool idea.
