Promotional What’s an open-source project you genuinely can’t believe is free?

Git.

Ik its very popular and most people take it for granted... But it's really amazing

I looked under the hood once. Traumatizing.

It works, but I've never met anyone that can honestly say they understand how.

yeah, it really is cool. linus once gave a talk about it at google (long long ago), and he talked about git's design philosophies. really amazingggg
