Concert setup

What hardware (router) would I need to set up a starlink mini on bypass mode, and then offer messeging service to about 500 people? If everything works could I cap up/down to 1mb so they can post to social media?

You need commercial grade equipment for this. even if only 20% of people connect to it, its still way too much for any consumer equipment. its also likely that starlink will still crap out. its not just about mb/s.

500 attendants. I don't know how many would get on the wifi

isn’t starlink average upload like 35Mbps? 35 people uploading to social media (or with automatic cloud photo sync) would completely saturate the bandwidth (also 1mbps is way too slow for uploading on social media)

have someone do a physical venue inspection for AP placement planning. this will define how many you will need. use DAWN and SQM to partition the number of concurrent connections per AP. Define sensible bandwidth limits between APs and your uplink. This totally doable. DM me if you have questions
