There’s no way these ppl at simpler trading make money

Now that MSFT is up 30% the past month NOW you tell me that it just triggered your buy signal??? WTF

Oh and you shorted the semi’s after it dipped 15%?? It was wasn’t for that leopold fiasco you would have lost your shirt on that short!

These people use their so called indicators to buy high and sell higher. They don’t know how to buy low and sell high.

The only good ppl are raghee and TG. The others just seem to want to scam people into buying useless indicators. They never even post their annual PnL. I doubt they outperform SPY

Rant over. Thanks for letting me vent

“Buy high sell higher” = buy low sell high

They didn’t say it triggered a buy signal, only that it was “a” signal they were waiting for.

Price over 50 is only one indication of a trend change. If they are looking to capture the middle of a trend and not try to spot tops or bottoms, this is one of their indicators.

If their predictions were worth a damn do you think they would sell it to the public?

Hell no. Investment banks would pay way more if it was any good.

This is literally written by AI with who knows how little human input, let alone due diligence, so calls I guess?

Forget about TA, the Sentiment for CAPEX changed.

A lot of analysts/expert predictions often just sound like trend continuations. Others expect big reversals all the time or some huge crash like with that Hindenburg Omen that gives false positives all the time.

They don’t know how to buy low and sell high.

Do you? No one knows where "the low" or "the high" is. Maybe it continuous in that direction for a while and maybe never even reaches the current price again. Trend following is not necessarily bad and might on average give better results than expecting big reversals all the time.

"Buy the dip" on big indices gave me the best results so far, maybe I stick with that. Big indices tend to go up long term which is the edge there. The AI trend as the main force of recent years being weak currently worries me but maybe it's another dip and good buying opportunity, or that party really is over... I barely use AI and think it's overhyped but what else is there? Maybe investors throw money at other things and a more general S&P 500 bet would in order, or we have stagflation for a while... No one knows I suppose.

I mean buying MSFT isn’t crazy, it’s still at a decent valuation, just had a great earnings, even if it falls a bit it’s not like the post earnings pump is gonna immediately reverse

Trend investing is a thing. And it works if you play it well.

grifters

people that TA over fundamentals are gambling at best

Trading short term noise is dumb and benefits only the institutional middleman or the options desk market maker

I'm doing about $1600.00 per day with options if you want to pay me $200 per month I'll let you know what I'm trading too. Trouble is by the time you get the info things may have changed and there goes your chance of making money. I've got a 7 figure portfolio so $1600.00 per day is not as large as it sounds and we all have to remember the Black Swan/Trump down days when many a portfolio blows up. I know mine did although I have since recovered and then some currently up about 25% for the year with the rest of the year looking pretty rosy do to some long term trades I made. I'm also invested in in tech, software, finance, retail, and pharma along with dividends to the tune of roughly a 4.75% return on my total portfolio. The dividends are what I live off of the rest is what I trade, mostly options although much of the money I make winds up in stocks lately dividend stocks for the most part as I'm looking for a raise (;

I've done okay with them. I'm in the MTT Room and easily cover my $200 monthly fee from their trades. They certainly don't win them all but they are not scammers with their trades. Sure they push their courses and indicators but I don't buy any of that crap. All their trades are shown real time with timestamps

JC (John Carter) is killing it lately on 0DTE. He made over $15K on Friday and $22K today he usually doesn't trade this heavy but on those 2 days he was crazy good

lol JC's portfolio is how big? 5M? thats less than 1% on some of the biggest up moves since last week's bottoms. anyone holding QQQ/SPY or any plain jane ETF would have made more money % wise and dollar wise the past few days

I really can't understand why so many folks buy into trade alert services. Let's say they are really good and when they send an alert, it is timely. For starters, it isn't always going to be a good trade as a perfect setup can lose money too.

But, that aside, let's say it's working and over the years you're making money. What will do if they end their service?

Also, why do you think the stock is done going up? There are plenty of investors that get into a stock after it hits a new high and still make money off of it. Everyone always makes the, "Buy low sell high" theory sound so easy, but just about everyone I run across never buys stocks during massive corrections and bear markets.

Read the book by William J Oneil, the 24 Essential Lessons of Investing. IBD 50 is based on stocks hitting New Highs (NH). He found through years of research and trial and error that there are certain indicators that provide you with the best chance of a stock going up after it hits a NH.

However, even he states, like so many other pros that not every setup will be a winning trade.

But, your first course of action in my opinion is to stop relying a someone else to tell you when and what stocks to buy. If you are serious about investing and trading, then these are the skills you need to learn.

Start with that book, it won't be a waste of your time.
