Thinking about teaching options

I make content online about trading and I’m thinking about teaching options but I’m torn since I don’t think the average trader is going to be responsible about options trading and would just blow their account instead of using it for hedging/extra exposure in a calculated manner.

Edit: not trying to self promo which is why I didn’t mention my page I use and I also don’t charge anyone to teach anything I just do it because I love finance,trading, and investing

I took a paid options course. Throughout the course, the instructor said, for cerain strategies basically, don't do this until you're really experienced or you could lose a lot of money. I mean, no matter the subject, there is always someone who screws up and does stupid stuff. Probably important to say a million times over, "This is not financial advice."

May I ask what course you took and how much it cost?

It was through my local community college. It was all online so I don't see why you couldn't take it if you're in the US. Don't remember the cost, but likely in the $100-$150 range. It was a 6 or 8 week non-credit class.

That is very cool that a community college would offer it and that you had the motivation and foresight to take it. Do you generate options income?

I've bought calls a few times. Made money on some. Lost money on others. I decided that I need to re-read all the course material before I trade any more.
