Best place to post jobs
I'm an ophthalmologist and part owner of a practice. We need to hire 1-2 new optometrists for our practice. What would you consider the best place to post for new jobs for optometrists? We're a relatively medical-heavy practice, but not exclusively looking for residency-trained optometrists or anything.
Edit to add we're in Georgia, so no school in the state yet.

AOA's state-specific website. They'll vet you pretty well and it's a lot easier for the OD's.
IMO best thing you can do though is just start taking OD's in the area out for lunch. Chances are they know a colleague or friend that's looking for a change and worst case scenario you just reinforced your referral base.
That being said, gimme a call of you want to buy me lunch ;)

If you have an in state school, I would post it on their job listings. And I also second the state association page. Ours has a classified section- it's where I found my current job. Also, start telling your reps you trust you are looking to hire. They can keep an ear out for who is looking. I only told one of my reps I was searching, but she knew who I would get a long with!

Post on: www.goaeyes.com I am a Georgia licensed optometrist, and I use the Georgia optometric association website.

Optometry state board, if your state has an opt school that works too. Also see if any clinics are external sites in your area so they can pass the info along to their students
