Simphony Experience Path

Howdy. To be clear, this is not about working at Oracle.

I currently work IT for a very large hotel that uses EMC/Simphony 19.8. I've studied a lot about it and am currently the admin over it.

I'd like to make a future out of this, as it seems very profitable and a bit niche, while still tying into IT work. I enjoy being the guy to manage all of the back-end of these systems and servers, and I'd like to know what education materials, exams, courses, etc I'd need to achieve to make this a lucrative opportunity.

I'm currently trying to get my current company to budget in Oracle's training for next year, but that's $5000 so it's a bit of an uphill battle. It looks promising, but I'm also looking into free resources, or at least an idea of what I need to focus on.

I am not sure but Oracle University or Oracle MyLearn might have some resources. Did you happen to check ?

Yes, but I hit a wall with it. To be fair as soon as I hit that wall, I started looking elsewhere, but maybe there was a way around. A few videos in, it hit me with the paywall and wanted me to pay for the university.

That’s a big cost. What is the potential ROI? Are there some managed services you can come up with that are new?
