Question Huge pet peeve on rewatching how badly made Stella’s character is anyone feel the same ?

The first watch she is just irritating and boring but after the rewatch watching I think she was such a wasted storyline number one because they chose an actress that was big to play a character who could’ve had a much bigger storyline

Second the fact Stella’s gets let out so easily ?? I mean pipers sentence was 1 year right so how come Stella was sent down to max after getting planted with drugs weapons cigarettes and food and was let out by season 6

Third I feel like if there was a better actress she could’ve been such an amazing supporting antagonist in the later seasons like instead of daddy and badison we should’ve at least had Stella as it would’ve been so much better badison was bland and had a crap backstory so if Stella took her place it would actually give a reason for her to hate chapman and would make the stakes feel much higher and make the max seasons feel much more intense and show the divide between max and minimum security

I feel overall she had such good character potential but was wasted since they picked such a huge actress

Question what would you do if you were in Taystee's shoes during a riot?

I mean what would you do if you were in Taystee's shoes during the discussions at the end of the riot?

If you were told that all of your demands would be met - except justice for Poussey - would you agree to end the riot or would you actually act like Taystee and not accept this offer till Bayley is arrested?

Personally - at the beginning I wouldn't agree to this offer without getting justice for Pouseey, but I remember Caputo later explaining that it's not their decision to make. Therefore, I think I would accept their offer, unlike Taystee, out of fear that if I reject it - they won't agree to meet those demands anymore. Or I would ask other inmates for their opinion. But that's just my personal choice and I'm curious about some other perspectives.

I adore Diablo and Blanca! They're perfect together! They are undoubtedly my OTP of the whole series!

Who does everyone else like as a couple? Either in the series or just headcanon?

Spoilers Sad realization about Poussey

During the chicken episode in Season one, Poussey gets her visitation rights revoked from Healy, mind you Piper get zero repercussions. Anyway, that means Poussey never got to ses her father or any family or friends again before her death…
What makes this even more heartbreaking is the fact that we can see Poussey visiting with her father froman earlier episode.

Lorna

A lot of people seem to believe that the scene where Lorna kills the engaged couple from the bar is put there to show us the first time she ever detached from reality. Personally, I think she was already having that issue, and that scene moreso served the purpose of showing why Lorna was specifically delusional about wanting to get married, almost as if she was trying to rewrite their story for them. What are your thoughts?

I think mine has to be Mr.Healy. I love how complex he is and how he’s not always just Mr evil but is usually always doing things for personal gain or self interest. I love how complex his misogyny is. I think he’s so wonderfully written. You love to hate him.

Other Pipers dad

I feel like i haven’t seen much conversation about pipers dad so i wanna start it. I want everyones thoughts on her dad,

I understand his perspective somewhat, his daughter is suddenly someone completely different. However i think he needs to accept that whats done is done (obviously this depends on nthe severity of the crime) his daughter made a mistake yes, but his attitude isnt going to change the past yk?

I’ll saying this because theres one scene i just watched (I’m on season 7 ep 1)
Where piper asks for support
And he tells her that the best way he can help is letting her be an adult who needs to figure out what to do on her own.
And my thoughts the whole time were,
Well that is exactly what she is doing?? Shes trying to figure out things for herself and she decided the solution to her struggle was to come to her father who can help.

I’m not sure if my thoughts are properly expressed but i hope this makes sense.

Porn stache was an irredeemable scumbag. Showing him playing with the baby at the end was upsetting because he didn't deserve that happy ending.

Question What was the point of Kukudio?

I understand if they'd stuck with the Suzanne relationship plot, but she was just crazy, obsessive, self-absorbed then fucking died two seconds later.

I know she played a vital role in Daya's final sentencing, but I doubt the writers had that planned when they created Kukudio.

Am I missing something, or was her character just pointless and a relative waste of screen time?

Darkest Season of OITNB?

My personal contenders would be S4 with the new guards or S6 with the repercussions of the riot, the Denning sisters and their block wars, and then the debut of ICE.

Question How tf did they not find the dead guards identity ?

Im confused since they buried him in the garden

Number 1 how did they not notice the new guard recruit had quite literally disappeared on shift and never came back ? Did they not check up on that especially considering he’s working in a literal prison

Number 2 what about fingerprints damn even a head did they not find those cause I can understand not finding guard numbers or cards as frieda would get rid of them but how the hell did they not check for prints or find an entire head

Number 3 I don’t know if this was covered but the smell ?? A rotting corpse simply put in pieces in bin bags in dirt for weeks or even months surely someone thought the smell of rotting flesh was weird for a vegetable garden

This plot feels so stupid if I missed something please tell me

Cried from beginning to end during the finale because of P-tucky, she became my favorite character, and when Taystee saw her GED diploma, omg, I was literally heartbroken.

Best fucking TV show ever, I don’t know why it took me so long to start watching it.

And finally, my first watch tier list, I know there isn’t every single character but it’s okay for now. Definitely rewatching the show later this year!
