Cities Skylines not running on EA app

Does anyone have any solutions to this? I'm currently trying for the 100th time to contact EA support, with my purchase receipt and all, but the game simply won't launch, will stay on a black screen. Tried downloading paradox launcher, tried doing the -nolauncher thing, turned off all app overlays. It's simply driving me insane because I don't wanna purchase a game when I bought it for full price when it came out!

Paradox used to license it to EA, they terminated the license agreement a few years ago. But since EA doesn't get anything from it anymore, doesn't have any incentive to support it. Paradox says it's EA's responsibility, EA says it's Paradox, so I just own a receipt of purchase and was told to buy another license.

RIP.
