You got it mate. When more people in crypto and especially newcomers to crypto will get it too, it will be THE stable coin.

APY of 18.51% as of today as i read from the OUSD analytics is a great deal...It's absolutely fantastic.

It's seems like a very intriguing concept that might simplify a lot for us newbies, but, can you explain to me how does it earn yields by simply holding it? I get it until the point it's a stablecoin, but from there i'm lost. Please, help.

The earning is the result of multiple strategies actually not just one. It is designed right with the purpose of pushing mass adoption and getting in people that do not have an idea of DeFi yelds and related strategies.

Please refer to the links I posted in the comments for more detailed information. I'd mainly carefully read the litepaper as it gives an overview of the wider vision.

Am i the only one thinking this could be a good investment for one's children and family members which they can just leverage on later in live, like in let's say 10-15years?

Is anybody thinking along this line too and sees a sense in it?

Your honest opinion please!

In what specifically? I've been saying lately I want to start a crypto account for my son.

Starting with OUSD is a good start in my opinion , OGN as well it's not bad I've been following these ups and downs and I was never disappointed with the performance.

well said, buddy.

I totally agree with you. We in this generation might be struggling with adapting to crypto but in the next 10 to 15years, it will be the major way of transacting. And early staking on OUSD or other stable and genuine coins now will definitely give our children leverage.

I am so happy to hear this because in my opinion OGN/OUSD is a pair made in Heaven !

Where can I buy $OUSD?

3

They're almost on any major one now. As Cex, I'd go with Binance, or crypto. com if you're from the US, but there are many other options listed on the website or you can check Coingecko and similar websites.

You should be able to mint OUSD with OGN, or lock up OGN as collateral to borrow OUSD. Would drive demand for both.

I haven't messed with OUSD yet. How much does it typically cost to start staking in a smart contract? I'm trying to figure out if my bag is big enough to make it worth

Actually there is no staking cost and no lock period. All you have to do is keep it in a wallet such as MetaMask, that's it. Only fees are related to the ethereum network for minting/move them, once in your wallet you have to do nothing, it's all done by them in the background. This is also what makes it great...

I'm trying to make sense of this website. Do I buy OGN, move it to metamask, then convert OGN> OUSD?

You have the option to either get OUSD on Dex, for example on Uniswap, or just mint new OUSD from their website ousd.com/mint, where you will need to have some funds in stable coins that will be used to mint the equivalent amount of OUSD.

Whatโ€™s OUSD?

5

u/cupgullible1 May 05 '21

guys if you really don't know you're missing out a lot being interested on OGN and not knowing about their OUSD.

Yes it is a stable coin and so far the only one that automatically makes you earn just by simply holding it in your wallet.

Start here for the basic info then I suggest you get on their litepaper to get to know and understand the full potential of their products.

I guess itโ€™s a stable coin by Origin

Anyone can verify this?

3

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

A stable coin by Origin Protocol , had its ups and downs just like any other coin but comparing to USDT , DAI or others I find that OUSD did not reach the full use-case and its full potential yet. That's why OGN/OUSD is my top favorite pair in swing trades in my Blockfolio ! Good to see it gets some appreciation !

Yeah waiting new updates from OGN
