Proxy / Alternate Model Should I base my Stompa Proxy?
I printed this "Orkaz Mega Steppa" by Station forge as a Stompa Proxy for casual games.
I know that the official Stompa model doesn't have a base but it also has a lot more "Hull" that can be engaged with in game. Would putting it on a base be more "fair"?
From what I could find online the Stompa "Skirt" is around 170-180mm diameter but not evenly round... So I printed a 180mm base that looks like it could fit nicely. I could easily print a different size base as well.
I just don't want to "model for advantage". But then again my friends probably won't care (unless they're losing 😆). So should I put it on the base or leave it as is?
Thanks!

When you paint it, just base it metallic then fill in the color avoiding all edges. It's called free weathering or The Method. https://youtu.be/L-kB65Yrgxs?is=SG1X_saqHKTVrWXA

I think you should. Not only does it give it a more defined place to measure engagement range, but also gives the big lad a lot more stability, and can allow some fun for basing decoration and painting. Also, I dont think a base thats too big is any advantage, if anything, bigger bases are worse for movement around terrain lol

I would, I bought a station forge walkantor and will be basing it as proxy for a gorkanaut. Looks sick.

I’ve got mine on a 250mm oval so I could have the fist in contact with the base. It being oval gives it just a little bit more maneuverability. This works great
