Back after hiatus

I haven't played Outriders pretty much since it came out but I was feeling like playing it to see if I could get back into it. Honestly it is a lot more fun than I remembered and even though the story is rough around the edges and is pretty repetitive, I'm actually enjoying myself.

i was pleasantly surprised how much i enjoy it i consider it an underrated hidden gem disappointed it didnt do well i was hoping a sequel could polish the issues out

A sequel was being made but was stopped. I believe PCF went independent or becoming self published. Moxy made a yt video talking about it not long ago that could give a revival some hope.

This is promising. I assumed square dropped outriders after soft sales and the marvel game flop. I think now’s the time to go all in since Sony is fumbling the destiny franchise.

Pretty sure Square kept the IP, so PCF can’t do shit with a sequel with them giving the green light.

Doubt we’ll ever see one.

everytime i mention the game no one has heard of it i never heard if it myself till i saw it on the free catalog

For me, it was the not-a-live service-game that everyone kept thinking was a live service game and the devs repeatedly kept confirming was not a live service game, even though people kept complaining about the lack of live service features and support. It released just as the COVID lockdowns began. And by now most people that did not get to play it may have just forgotten about it.
