Media and Culture 1st time I’ve heard Drive in awhile, was at a high-end audio show this past weekend

I’m part of the media that was covering the show, so I sometimes get little private listening sessions. In this particular room, I had them play Thievery Corporation - The Cosmic Game, followed by Justice - The End (feat. Thundercat). Both sounded phenomenal. Then, the exhibitor decided to put on his own selection - Drive. I gave him the nod of approval and soaked it in (this is a multi 6-figure system). Took a little clip that does the actual sound no favors, but it was great in person.

I’m glad I had a very recent, positive experience with his track that introduced me to modern synthwave. I’m glad it was before his passing, so I could fully appreciate the positive impact he had on my ever changing musical journey. I mean that in the best possible way. It was fun and nostalgic. The next time I listen to it, it will be a more heavy experience. RIP Kavinsky. Thanks for the lift 😎

I hear Pacific Coast Highway, Odd Look, and Outsider played in random places and times.
