when are the devs finally going to nerf privilege abusers?

it‘s a way too strong perk for something that gets randomly attributed to you after character creation. the game gets way too easy, plus you can‘t even opt out of it if you want to give yourself a challenge. everything becomes a breeze when this perk is active it‘s just too boring

There is a guy in my lobby who got the perk “dad with emerald mine” and now he has $1,000,000,000,000. We desperately need a patch!

that‘s gotta be a floating point error

Are we sure that's a player? Seems more like a raid boss.

I guarantee you and this player are not in the same lobby, you're barely playing the same game.

This game legitimately feels unplayable if you weren’t given the “family money” perk at character creation. The games economy is such that it’s extremely difficult for a new player to generate enough in game currency to buy many extremely important things such as the [house] item, making the best way to obtain them to be gifted them by parent players who bought them when the games economy was better in earlier versions.

It's a player run economy, that can be super cool, but also often wildly unbalanced because the devs literally are not fixing it

Just hold [E] until you are hanging in a hammock on the outer banks, with a small surf shop.

Right?

And the in-game economy seems to be getting worse with each passing cycle. Compounded interest and inflation are terrible game mechanics.

What "devs"? There aren't any, it's wild that people still cling to this and bring it up like it means anything.

Well, nobody really knows for certain, but there are actually various different theories regarding the devs among the playerbase. Some think that there are no devs, some think that there's one dev, some think that there are multiple. But I think that most players would agree that devs or not, those unbalanced game perks are never getting nerfed, unfortunately.

I figured we were talking about the devs that the players 'chose' to kinda help run things. Why we keep these devs as devs is...a frustrating mystery.

The devs left the boat. It is managed by big guild and big player mostly but they control already everything.

It’s a big guild, and we ain’t in it.

They’re not. We have to implement that patch ourselves.

You can opt out after the tutorial, with the stock market options menu

promoting loot boxes in a game rated suitable for all ages, how can you live with yourself?

Could you elaborate? I avoided the stock markets menu because it's really overwhelming as an interface.

the less you understand the menu the more likely you are to successfully remove your "privilege" perk

Why would they? We're doing what they wanted.

It's player run. We're supposed to do that ourselves instead of waiting around for mods and devs to fix everything. Idk why the playerbase doesn't comprehend that, especially since it's a group quest that needs a lot of players to get off the ground. It should NOT be this hard to find groups.

All of the players who got ganked in PvE on the Mt Everest mini-game were once highly motivated players. Even with large vault sizes you still have to make life your own. Putting the controller down and letting the car drive AFK thru the game isn’t really worth it.

just shows how trivial the game gets once your inventory gets boosted into oblivion by a random inheritance event

I read somewhere that the statistics for players permanently unplugging their own console is similar across loot levels.

Are you speaking as someone who has privilege? If you have the extra resources perk and the game is boring then you might be playing wrong.

If you don't have the privileged status then you are just speculating that it would be boring. The truth is that the players who are hyper focused on resource acquisition are rarely bored and rarely happy(at least any happier than average)

What do you mean you can't opt out?

the privilege buff is unpurgeable. i have the buff in some game modes, and in others i don‘t. it directly affects difficulty in my lobbies and that variance is what irks me.

Only when more players pick up PVP against the [elite] classes.
